If it’s Thursday we must be in Cobh

The port of Cobh is proud, I guess you could say, of their heritage as the last port of call the Titanic made before its final voyage.  100 years ago in 2012.

I would like to say that we had a very scenic shore excursion this morning through Cobh, Cork, and Kinsale, Ireland.  Sadly, we didn’t see much because there is a fog throughout the land!

The one thing I did accomplish was a little bit of shopping.  I am on a mission to find an Irish sweater that is light enough to wear in Texas, and that mission remains unfulfilled.

Some of the sights in Cork

On the way between Cobh and Cork there is a large estuary.

Charles Fort protecting the city. On the other side of the river is James Fort, out of sight today.
